1. Wrinkle-free
The most important thing is not connected to any outfit per se. Just like it’s the case with your face, having wrinkles on your clothes is a big sin. Instead of letting your date sees how your clothes were folded in the wardrobe, think in advance and iron your clothes if needed (and it is always needed). Namely, sometimes it might seem that your clothes don’t need ironing and that everything’s in perfect order (or that they will somehow magically iron by themselves while you’re wearing them), but this is simply not true. Iron everything in advance, especially your shirt, if you’re planning on wearing one – having a shirt that’s wrinkled, is perhaps the worst thing in the world after hunger and AIDS.
2. Go athleisure
Suffice it to say that you will dress up according to the type of place you’re going. If the date is a casual one, during the day or afternoon, one of the options is to be quite fashionable and rock your athleisure look. This means that you can combine your formal clothes (such as a blazer) and your favorite sneakers. This option is the best one if your date is during the afternoon or late afternoon, as you can easily hit the club together in this combination – this is why athleisure is an excellent trend.
3. Dapper date
On the other hand, there are people who prefer to have their first dates in restaurants, and if you are one of those, then you might want to suit up for your first date. This happens very often, especially if both of you are working men who work in certain companies and want to have your first date on a work day just after your shift’s over. If this is the case, then you need to make sure you have quite a representable suit. Opting for high-quality tailored suits is the best possible option, as they will accentuate your good features. If you choose to buy a suit that simply doesn’t fit you, you might end up looking ridiculous, and you most certainly don’t want that.
4. The minimalistic type of guy
Minimalism is a huge trend, not only in the fields of interior design but also in the fashion world. It doesn’t matter where you’re going – to the movies, to the club, or to a fancy restaurant, choosing a minimalistic combination is always a safe choice. Make sure to have your color palette on point, use the color wheel in order to find out what colors are compatible together, and there you go. If you opt for minimalistic attire, then you can wear statement jewelry or even a bold piece of clothing, such as a colorful shirt or blazer.
5. Accessorize
As far as accessories are concerned, make sure not to overdo your look by wearing plenty of accessories. A good watch will do just fine – these always look hella classy and you can find a great watch that’s quite affordable. Of course, you can always opt for necklaces and rings if this is your cup of tea, but bear in mind with the hats – it’s very advisable to dress up according to your age (so no caps if you’re 25+).
