Many millennials are moving to Boston for work. Some enjoy the northeastern region of the United States and want to be near to New York and big cities. Others flock to Beantown because of its history and Irish culture. Still, Boston is an amazing city and one you do not want to miss out on getting to know it, should you have the opportunity. If you are living there and call Boston home, you do not need to feel left out.

There are many ways to get involved with the home of the Boston Red Sox:

1.) Check Out Boylston Street. Boylston Street is one of the best parts of Boston. Near to Back Bay, there are so many bars and shops to check out on Boylston Street. In fact, there are a lot of businesses near there, and you are likely to meet some young professionals. You can have conversations with many different people. Soon, you will have a group of friends to catch a Celtics basketball game with.

2.) Go See Harvard. We’ve all seen Harvard University in the movies. We witnessed what colleges like Harvard are like. In nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts, you can feel as if you are a part of the academic pursuits that many Harvard students have embraced. Take the chance to see all the different restaurants, bars, and shops within Harvard Square. And don’t forget to buy yourself a Harvard shirt. Just because you do not attend school there doesn’t mean you cannot be a part of the Harvard community.

3.) Hang Out in Southie. South Boston is well known as the face of Boston to many people who do not live in Boston proper. If you have seen movies such as The Departed, Black Mass or Mystic River, then you will know South Boston well. That is always where all the famous Boston films are shot. Yet, the area has a lot more to offer complete with a number of great restaurants and bars. Plus, you are close to the ocean. Taking a walk to the local pub for an evening pint and dinner might just be the best time you have in Boston.

4.) Sing “Sweet Caroline” at a Red Sox Game. Next, to Detroit, Chicago, Saint Louis and New York City, Boston is one of the best sports towns throughout the country. It is always a good time to go out for a Red Sox game and experience the beauty of singing Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.” Sitting and watching the game will make you feel instantly a part of the entire Boston community.

Boston is one of the best cities in the United States. There are many more who have moved from out of state to live and work there too. Whether you are looking to permanently remain in Boston for the rest of your life or are only there for a time, making Boston your home is definitely something you will want to make sure and do. “Good times never seemed so good,” as Neil Diamond said.
