For This Delicious Triple Coconut Granola Recipe, You’ll Need…

Tools:

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Plastic spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Airtight container
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • Old-fashioned oats: 4 cups
  • Sliced Almonds: 1 cup (Replace them with other nuts if you don’t like almonds)
  • Ground Cinnamon: 1 tsp
  • Sea Salt: ¾ tsp, finely grained.
  • Ground Ginger: ½ tsp
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp
  • Maple Syrup: ½ cup (Can be replaced with other forms of honey if desired)
  • Coconut Oil: ½ cup
  • Coconut Flakes: ½ cup (Unsweetened works best but you can use sweetened in a pinch, just adjust the syrup accordingly)
  • Shredded Coconut: ½ cup (Unsweetened works best but you can use sweetened in a pinch, just adjust the syrup accordingly)

You can also add dried fruit to the mix to make it even more flavorful. What fruit you use is your choice but since coconut is the biggest flavor in this recipe we recommend tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango, strawberries, papaya and even banana.

If you’re in the mood for something more decadent, then dark chocolate is another ingredient you should consider.

To Cook the Most Delicious Triple Coconut Granola You’ll Ever Taste You Have to…

Step 1: Prepare Your Oven

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and cover a large baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper.

If you don’t have parchment paper, then consider purchasing a baking mat.

Waxed paper is not your friend for this as, since it’s not heat-resistant, it may melt or even catch fire.

Step 2: Combine Your Dry Ingredients

Combine your almonds (or whatever nut you chose), cinnamon, salt, ginger and oats in a mixing bowl, stirring thoroughly until they’re perfectly mixed together.

Step 3: Mix Your Liquid Ingredients

In the same bowl, start mixing your syrup, the vanilla extract and the coconut oil.

This might take a while, as you need to make sure every oat you see is coated in the mixture so if you see any dry oats keep stirring!

Step 4: Transfer The Mix to The Baking Sheet

Once everything has been properly mixed, it’s time to move it to the baking sheet.

Make sure no liquids are left on the bowl. Use your spatula to scrape off the mixture if you need to.

Don’t forget to spread the mix until it’s even.

Step 5: Bake!

Bake the mix for 15 minutes, then take out the baking sheet from the oven and place it on a counter. Don’t forget to use a soft cloth or a cutting board to protect your counters.

Add your shredded coconut and coconut flakes to the mix and stir until everything is blended and return the baking sheet to the oven.

Wait about 5 minutes or until the coconut is slightly golden.

Step 6: Cool Down

Take the baking sheet out of the oven and let the mix cool down completely.

Don’t worry about your coconut being crispy enough. It will crisp even more as it cools down.

Step 7: Mix Your Fruits

If you’re planning on adding dried fruits or chocolate this is the moment for it. Put your granola in airtight containers or freezer bags and shake energetically until all the ingredients are mixed together.

Step 8: Store your granola!

Store them away from sunlight, in your cupboards or drawers.

You can also place your granola on porcelain containers to ensure it stays fresh.

The granola should keep well for 1 to 2 weeks as long as it is stored at room temperature.

You can also store it in the freezer, where it will last up to 3 months. However, keep in mind that anything you store in the freezer will gradually absorb humidity so leave the freezer as a last resort sort of thing.

Time to Enjoy!

While you have the last word when it comes to how you want to eat your granola, this recipe goes great with yogurt as well as your favorite kind of fresh berry.

This granola can be enjoyed as part of a delicious breakfast, a quick and tasty snack or even a healthy dessert. The choice is yours!

What do you think of this recipe? Tasty, uh?

Making a good granola is just as complicated as brewing a good cup of coffee, thanks to the many ingredients and the particular procedure to follow. However, even the best latte machine won’t be able to create a masterpiece that you can make using a few secret indigents. Good luck and Bon Appetite!
