What first got you into music?

I’ve always had a deep connection to music, but what truly drew me in was the fact that I could express my feelings through it. Growing up, I wasn’t always understood, and I had to deal with a lot of emotional turbulence. Writing music became my outlet, my way to take all those feelings and transform them into something meaningful. My love for poetry naturally found its way into songwriting, and that’s how I began my musical journey.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I’d describe my music as alt-pop with a raw, emotional edge. I blend elements of pop with deeper themes like self-discovery, resilience, and love. It’s about real-life experiences, from joy to heartbreak, and finding empowerment in the mess of it all. My songs are deeply personal, and I like to mix energy with introspection, creating music that makes you feel and think.

What is your creative process like?

It usually starts with a feeling or a concept—sometimes it’s a lyric, other times it’s a melody I can’t get out of my head. I’ll build on that with my team, layering the sound until it reflects the emotion perfectly. I also love to experiment, so no two songs are ever created the same way.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I listen to a wide variety of music. So That’s a tough one because there are so many incredible artists out there! I’d love to collaborate with some rap/Hip hop artists. Such as Flyanna Boss, Central Cee, GloRilla, Latto and Jack Harlow, their style of storytelling and vibe would compliment mine. Doja Cat would also be a dream because of her fearless creativity and genre-blending style.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

The Internet has completely transformed the industry. On one hand, it’s made it easier for artists like me to share music directly with listeners, no matter where they are in the world. On the other hand, it’s a crowded space, so standing out is harder than ever. But I think the positives outweigh the challenges—it’s a great time to be an independent artist.

If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to the next musical generation, what would it be?

Stay authentic. It’s easy to get caught up in trends or to compare yourself to others, but your uniqueness is what will set you apart. Also, don’t underestimate the power of perseverance—success often comes to those who refuse to give up.

What are your musical plans for the next 12 months or so?

I’m releasing new music every month, each showing a different side of my artistry. I want to keep building my audience, playing live shows, and collaborating with other artists. There’s also a project in the works that I can’t reveal just yet—but it’s going to be exciting! Stay tuned!

If you were talking to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give yourself?

I’d tell myself that it’s okay to feel lost sometimes, and that you’re not alone. Embrace the mess, the pain, and the confusion because they’re all part of your growth. Things get better, and you’ll come out stronger, even when you feel like you’re at your lowest.

What do you think the greatest invention has been?

What actor would play you in a movie about your life?

Do you have a cherished childhood teddy bear or other stuffed animal sitting on your bed at home?

Yes, I have 3. One from my best friend, one from my dad, and one from I don’t know.

Are you a cat or dog person?

I grew up with dogs, but I have a cat which I’m obsessed with. So CAT person.
