Following the release of his debut body of work “First and Foremost” in 2018, 26 year old singer/songwriter Plested drops his first offering of 2019, the polished, vulnerable pop gem “Either You Love Me or You Don’t”.
Speaking on the track, Plested states: “This song is about not knowing how someone really feels about you,” says Plested. “It was inspired by a real-life situation where I didn’t know if someone was in love with me or not but also from the classic ‘friend-zone’ situation we all may have been in. I co-wrote it a few years ago with Emily Warren and my old school friends Mac & Phil. It was before we went on to have any songwriting success writing for other amazing artists, so it’s a special one.”
Recognised as one of the hottest songwriters in the game right now, penning for the likes of Zayn Malik, Little Mix and Ray BLK, Plested drip-fed a stream of releases last year, culminating in his debut body of work in April – embarking on a debut European tour alongside it.
Plested has also been opening for the likes of Alec Benjamin, Calum Scott, Emile Sandé and Mogli in Europe as well as Nina Nesbitt across North America. He started playling “Either You Love Me or You Don’t” in his set lists and given the crowd reaction felt he had to drop it as a single. It’s another glossy, superlative piece of craftsmanship that should see Plested shining deservedly in his own right this year.
